Oppenheimer Conservation aims to develop mutually beneficial relationships with recognized academic institutions and various non-governmental organisations. This enables us to initiate, coordinate and conduct research which will generate the right information required for decision support, directly in line with the management objectives for the conservation and sustainable utilization of biodiversity.
We aim to deliver valuable and recognisable contributions to our natural capital and biodiversity stewardship both at and around each site. Biodiversity stewardship and scientific research has meant more than just species protection and we have therefore concentrated our management of biodiversity on the expansion of key biodiversity areas as well as the conservation of ecosystem processes to ensure not only economic viability but also ecological sustainability.
Researchers will be required to complete a Memorandum of Agreement and a standard Oppenheimer Conservation indemnity form prior to registering any project.
Research proposals should be sent to duncan.macfadyen@Oppenheimer-Generations.com
